I tried using the search facility once - I typed in the word "Accrington" and there were pages of results!!!

True. I was just helpfully linking an identical thread started by a moderator, because as I posted, when we do get duplicate threads, most members tend not to endlessly repeat what they've already shared previously.

The search facility on here's invaluable.

Especially the advanced search.

You can be much more specific than typing 'Accrington', and you can also search individual sections.

True. But if someone starts a thread that some of us have not seen before, it seems reasonable that we contribute to it if we wish without first checking if there are similar threads.
