Kestral x

Don't know what's gone on today re. Kestral but if the guy really has been "banned for life" then it's a loss for the forum. He was an interesting contributor with a lot to say.

No, I didn't agree with much of what he posted (specifically the drugs thread) but everyone's entitled to their opinion and Kestral put his across well and he seemed like a reasonable chap to me.

It enevitably turned nasty but some of the guys were a lot nastier than he was.

Sad that it's had to end like this.

Well said Steve and glad someone had the sense to start this thread.

Yes he's been banned and I shall miss him. He stood up for himself and wasn't afraid to answer back to some of the bullies - who deserved a ban much more than he did, in my opinion.

I am very glad that the whole of the thread in which the worst nastiness occurred (but not the only one) has been deleted. I hope we don't see its like again but given human nature we probably will.

I agree - but some members aren't human, so primitive behaviour can be expected.

Me and i hope several others reported the severity of the nastiness in that thread, yes i have been nasty in the past but that was just damn right disgusting, there was no need to dredge up his family history

i dont know the full ins n outs, i did see "some" posts in the drugs thread, and it didnt seem one sided, however i may have not been privvy to some of the dialogue used,

but i have to agree steve that its a shame, that a member who shared his "opinions" has been banned.

Surely he can just rejoin with a different email address and username?

No, he can't. That would infringe the rules.
I'm sure that I was told that the site has software which recognises IP addresses to ensure that such things can't/shouldn't happen.

Re: Kestral x

He was banned because he asked to be banned. He posted a lot of abuse and swearing to other members today because he knew it would get him banned.

I was busy at work today so hardly managed to get online, I did see some of what was going on so I moved the thread to the mod section for editing but I doubt I will bother editing it as there probably wont be enough posts left to make it worth keeping.

i would have thought is ip address , would be logged, so he would have to go through a proxy, and that is in breech of forum rules

If you read the rules you will see that having more than one account can get all your accounts banned. It has happened many times before and will more than likely be happening again very soon.

Steve....how do we know he has been banned for life? I'm not being fly, just asking the question.

I hope that thread stays in the bin.
