I know Jaysay but at the time I did not know Roy or Less so it was just I happened to do a Google search for local history and ended up here:D
and very glad I did, I have really enjoyed the site and still do also meeting new members and the accyweb meets.
yes the site has involved and changed over the years but that is to be expected and a site can only be what the members want it to be and its the members that change it

Yes Mick its surprising how people come and go on here, I joined in 2005 and very rarely posted at first. I didn't post much until an enforced absence when there was a glitch in the system after I changed from dial up to broadband in 06, When changing my details the system treated me as a new member but didn't send out the confirmation email and I was stopped from signing in for nearly 12 months. I contacted some one on anther website who asked you to sort it out. since then I've never really looked back, I'm now known to make the odd post now and again:D

Yes sometimes glitches in computer programming are a blessing, what a wonderful year that was.:D
Yes you do sometimes make an odd post, I always blame the spell checker for mine, similar to yourself.

If this was a tenth anniversary thread on any other local forum, it'd just be a series of polite, predictable posts along the lines of "happy anniversary, here's to the next ten years". On here, we've had ruck between Less and Roy, Jaysay throwing his toys out of his pram and mention of Margaret's derriere. Classic Accyweb - eccentric, argumentative, unpredictable and a perfect illustration of why we are celebrating our tenth anniversary while no other local forum, round here, has achieved that distinction.
