You got me thinking with this one, so not being able to sleep I though Id take a look into it (how sad am I) apparantly "clout" means clothing (I too knew it as a swipe round the ear!) so basically, for anyone unsure it means never throw out your clothes (am guessing they mean winter clothes and not all clothes ) til the end of may.

Loved the blog that went with this, of which you are probably aware :

"In some areas black rabbits are thought to host the souls of human beings. White Rabbits are said to be really white witches and some believe that saying 'White Rabbits' on the first day of each month brings luck.

A common lucky charm is a rabbit's foot .. but not for the rabbit" LOL

Just wondered if anyone carried a rabbit's foot these days, used to be quite common and never thought much about it years ago, however, wouldn't consider it now. Times change.
