There was a narrow path from the kitchen to the stairs, leding to a bed and a barely usable bathroom. Eventually, the woman broke her hip and the local social worker asked our club to come in and shift the accumulation. We easily filled a thirty cubic yard dumpster. While we tried to ensure that we were not throwing away valuables, we obviously didn't have time for more than a cursory evaluation. I've since gotten a lot better about two things - throwing away things, and being much more discerning about what I allow to come into my house.
