I just noticed this job advert online and thought a local person might be interested

I hate it though when job adverts say things like this.

Hmm, well no reply, perhaps 95% of MP's just aren't bothered about aknowledgeing the efforts put in by applicants?
The application addy is email, so how difficult would it be to set up an auto reply to say thank you?

Ah, just noticed it's chicken & egg syndrome,
Until he can get someone that is:-

Reliable, enthusiastic Strong IT, communication and organisational skills essential.

He obviously isn't capable of setting up an auto reply.

Is that a legal thing to put in a job advert?
Surely the job should go to the most suitable person without prejudice about their political leanings?

Can't see anyone from his constituency applying.
