Gis' a Job

I'm moving out of the country in a few months (does Scotland count as another country?) and I'm going to need money for necessary evils such as a roof and food etc.

I'm handing out CVs all over the show but if anyone knows of any temporary work going could you pop it on here or get in contact with me?

I've got ten GCSEs at grades A-C and five A-levels (results pending), so there's no worries about qualifications. I'm computer literate, keen to pick up anything new, and a hard worker. Not bothered what type of work it is to be honest, manual or office-based... whatever.

Thanks.

Good luck with the search for work Shaker.

Which college are you going to?

Just a tip from someone who lived in Scotland, never try and spend your perfectly legal Scottish money down here when you come home, hardly anyone will accept it.

Re: Gis' a Job

I've just finished doing my A-levels at the Sixth form at Bacup & Rawtenstall Grammar School. Got a couple of exams next week then I'm free for summer. I'm going to do Philosophy (and a joint honours with Biology or something to that effect) at University of Aberdeen. Can't wait, went up for a visit earlier in the year and Kings College is brilliant.

Well the very best of luck, with your exams, and your time at university.

Aberdeen is a great city, plus when the weather's good, which it is more than you might think, you can go to the beach after lectures. Something you can't do in Leeds or Manchester.

Re: Gis' a Job

If you still can't find a permanent job after handing out cv's, the work point in blackburn is a good agency for finding temp work. There is also an employment place associated with blackburn and darwen council just down a bit from reidys, or at least there was last time I was looking for a job.

Not permanent stuff usually but temp work can pay quite well.
