They make a very strange noise, like tuning an old radio.

Their call is " peewit" hence the name peewit or lapwing

No 2 is a Reed Bunting
The RSPB: Reed bunting

For the last 3 years they have been resident at the top lodge on the Coppice.

It was, I remember it being there when the yard was used by the cleansing department.

thanks, the small hamlet is Back 'O' Bowley,composition is one of those things that feels right without knowing why.

I remember that Bull's head when I worked across road at Street Lighting and we have to go and fix things in the abbatoir
