There was no one about, I never met anyone either on the way down or back up. There were sheep in some of the fields obviously ready to lamb, so the lead was on in those fields.

It was about 11 years since we were up there, hopefully the old farmer has moved away.

I like looking around the area, and I have still to walk a lot of paths I saw but don't know where they go. I have never come across any farmer on my walks, but saying that is tempting fate.

Beware of angry farmers,I hear they can be very touchy when it comes to their livestock.
Even to the point of violence if your dogs off the lead

I am always aware of livestock, and if any are present it is always a lead. Although I have never happened across a farmer, angry or otherwise disposed, he would be on this thread should he accost me, that's provided he didn't insert my camera some where that I didn't have a large aperture.

There's a fair bit of wildlife about - no wonder Max's ears are perked up!

The panoramic view works especially well in this scenery. Number 10 is a great shot.

The rabbit and birds were on the opposite canal bank a fair way up the field.I didn't know if I had got them at first, but with a bit of zooming and cropping I got there.
