A few seasonal pics from yesterday and today, including sunset behind my house this evening.

I can see a difference right away, the sharpness stands out, especially the flower.

Using it on automatic to start with as you suggested Dave - then we'll see as I start to try it out properly!

A good idea, get to know the bottons, bells, and whistles first, then when you get used to it you can get a bit creative by trying the various options available.

She likes to play fetch but today she wanted to play with a huge rock that hardly fit in her mouth. Was too scared id hurt her so I wouldn't play. At first I thought she wanted my noodles but she had placed the stone between my feet

A few days away from the madding crowds up in the wilds of Northumberland.
Drovers Inn, real ale, pub grub and great walks. Dark skies at night, stargazers delight.
What's not to like?
Hadrian's Wall from the Barbarian's side.
Black Middens one of the best preserved bastles the fortified 16th century farmhouses built to defend the border lands from the reivers.
A not so well preserved bastle with a quenching hole above the door to put out any fires lit against it by the raiders.
Unusual fungus ? Any help identifying it appreciated.
The walk up through ancient woodland to the Hareshaw Linn waterfall with the bonus of seeing a group of roe deeer high up on the ravine.

Today in Pictures, a busier than normal expedition today, the new paths have opened up the area even to people pushing prams, before, some areas were ankle deep with mud that only barmpots went through, I know as it previously went through my lace holes.

1. The reservoir, with a bit of ice and a lot of ducks and geese.
2. The melting snow has increased the water flow.
3. The top end of Jackhouse is a spit and a stride from the top road.
4. The sun is low in the sky.
5. A look down the site, the now dry top res apart from the stream that used to keep it topped up and now flows straight into Jackhouse.
6. They get everywhere.
7. If its not wet you aren't doing it right.
8. You can find this type of gate all over the place around here.
9. I can hear the sound of a harp.
10. Looking over the top end of Ossy towards Gt. Harwood.
