Number 10 reminds me of the Mural on Hilda Ogdens wall...she had flying ducks though.
Some lovely shots there and the pooches looked like they were having fun.

Awww!
I want one.....except we already have four house cats(two of these are strays that 'adopted'
us.)...and we are feeding two more strays who have made their home in our garage.
So I think the possibility of me getting a fluff ball are less than zero.

You can almost hear the sound of tumbleweed.
In fact these pictures are surreal.

I did see some tumbleweed roll past..... I would expect to see scenes like this on Christmas morning, new years day or very early on Sunday mornings. Even the pigeons seem to have deserted the town centre at the moment. I imagine Wakes Weeks were very similar, I'm too young to really remember them....

I am old enough to remember wakes weeks...yes, they were quiet as many shops closed, but as you say, the only time the town is as deserted as this, are on those days you mentioned.

It looks as though the world has ended and they have pulled up the ladder.

A couple from today, I always take my camera out

1. Teasel - the dried heads of the plant were once used in the textile industry to raise the nap on woolen cloth - given a wazz through Topaz Studio to give a oil painted effect.

2. British Rail Class 195-125 Civity passing through a rather deserted Huncoat Station

It is a long time since Ihave been out and about with my camera.
It needed the dust blowing off it.
I took a stroll along the canal bank at Clayton today.
It was fairly busy with cyclists and families...enjoying the sunshine.
So here are my captures...No bugs....did not see any at all.
1) Allium perhaps
2) Oh Ivy you do look pale.
3) Are these harebells? They had a slight pinkish hue
4) swan grooming(not sure if it is a 'he' but he was very protective of a nest on the other bank.
5) same swan 6 and 10
7) blossom
8&9) goose family...there were six chicks but one of them must have got eaten.
