Re: Iceland - dont bother!
Ask at the bank if you can change the visa electron to a visa debit (connect) depends which bank it's from. Ian says electron cards are a pain the backside for the banks

You could try teh other way and ask Tesco et al why they don't accept them, after all, they will only deliver your goods when they have been paid for. Its not like anyone could bounce a payment by them.

Re: Iceland - dont bother!
Suppose you'd had to go out at 7pm and had been promised your delivery before 6pm? It's just not acceptable expecting you to be there an hour and a half later to accept frozen stuff. If you hadn't been in what would they have done with it?

Re: Iceland - dont bother!
Cashman, Internet shopping is normally spot on, its probably all the people going mad buying stuff they would never normally buy plus about 3x the amount of their normal stuff so the poor delivery bloke takes longer to unload than normal hence being late. for the other 50 weeks of the years its brilliant. It takes less than half the time to do the order, you tend not to make those 'impulse' purchases that you didn't really want hence saving probably far more than the delivery cost(irrespective of the petrol and time you save) and its delivered(normally :) ) when you want it delivered. The only things I won't buy are veg and fresh meat/fish as I like to pick my own(Plus I tend to get those from local markets anyway). For those without a car to get about I reckon internet shopping is a superb idea. also remember you don't have to go out in the cold/wet/icy weather either! :D
