If you are going to use it as your only PC you might find a 9" screen a bit on the small side. Mine has a 10" screen is is fine for me but my wife thinks it is way too small to use. Maybe you should pop into PCWorld and have a play with them before you think about buying to see what you think

Why not do teh sensible thing then. :D

Plug it into your big LCD TV(if you have one) via teh VGA adaptor and use a wireless keyboard and mouse.

When at home it makes sense to use what you have about you. on teh move its small and convienient, it doesn't have to be used that way though!

A keyboard and mouse on your knee sounds hard work to use. Beside I bought my netbook as all the PC's and TV's are usually in use by everyone else :D

Not very private though is it when everyone else is reading what you are typing on you TV

What would 1024x600 from an AA1 look like on a 40" screen? I can't find any info saying it can do higher than that after a quick look.

The graphics card will match whatever your native LCD screen res is. Its many many years since we had to worry about Gfx cards not hitting high resolutions.

I run my laptop sometimes through teh LCD ( think easy way to do photo presentations to family etc) and it runs at the native res (1368x768 IIRC). Its surprisingly clear and easy to read whilst still having enough estate to run things properly.

why should a keyboard/mouse(ot trackball etc) be much different to a eee pc, they are larger and probably heavier? You can also get keyboards with built in trackballs or touchpads.

I have an LCD that gets used almost entirely to make my macbook screen bigger. It does 1920x1080 with no trouble. I just wish my macbook played blueray. ;)

Hi
I have an Acer Aspire One on linux. No big memory only 8gb. . I wanted to use the webcam facililty to tape myself and put on blog etc, but i find that it records but with no sound. Has anybody else had this problem?

Also somebody mentioned earlier about flash drives. I bought a 32gb one and didnt work (Corsair 32GB Flash Survivor USB 2.0 Flash Drive - CMFUSBSRVR-32GB)!!! Gutted.

Bought a 4gb one from Tesco yesterday, Sandisk Cruzer £8 and that works if that helps anyone.

Some of you guys helped me earlier in the year with my netbook. Would have loved XP on it but it was a present....
