i was told by another accywebber that she chucks everything in her slow cooker on Saturday night and sets a timer for it to come on first thing Sunday morning, so she doesnt have to get up early just to start dinner and she can have a lie in GENIUS!!!!

I have made curries and also boiled a gammon joint in mine a few times and comes out really well - not at all dry. Why not look on the internet for recipes - there will be lots of inspiring dishes for you to try.....

What temperature do those slow cookers cook at?

Re: Slow Cooker

They must have liquid - which reaches a slow simmer - no steam escapes
...so the answer must be 'boiling point'

Not really:D
A pressure cooker cooks fast, halving cooking time
A slow cooker needs a long time, but uses less fuel
