thin soup

If you are having some tomato soup from a tin.. after you have emptied the tin .. place a small amount of water in the empty tin, swirl it around and place the contents into the soup.. this will make the soup go much further .. its great for students and large families.

Re: thin soup

you can also put some tomato puree in the soup and some more water!.. its a great way to fool your friends/family into thinking you used 2 tins of soup!

Re: thin soup

Make your own soup - even cheaper. All it takes is a few vegetables and a stock cube. Frozen peas make wonderful soup, add a bit of mint and liquidise the peas when they're done - if you add cream it's even better. We always used to have soup made with the chicken carcass from Sunday and a broth posy, and pea soup made with the ham bone - yum.

Could start a soup recipe collection here with peoples take on what makes good soup. Its a simple whaolesome food that even the nanny state clods cant argue about.
