It would have been at the time when Sir William Wiggins Cocker was mayor. The reason I ask is the Sir William lived at Glen Wold on Queens Road at the time and the royal party dropped in for a cuppa. Apparently Manchester Corporation installed a posh bathroom especially for the visit! |

Bringing back an old thread. Regarding royal visits. Does anybody remember the Princes Royal. The old one not Ann.
In Accy in the early sixties. I am sure she went to St Christopher's school. |
