At the time of the fire, ownership was split between the Joinson family and Lancashire Enterprises Ltd (a Council business funding company). It was LEL who pulled the plug on the laundry a couple of years later after it had started up again in Gt Harwood. After Clayton Laundry's demise two former employees, messrs Threlfall and Hargreaves, took over Tower Laundry at Mill Hill, Blackburn. As far as I know it's still going but Mr. Threlfall has now retired.
