Re: internet explorer 7?

I use it at work and find it better that IE6.

tabbed browsing is a good addition, like the BT own version.

I also believe if you dont like it you can always go back to IE6

Re: internet explorer 7?

I didn't like it at first because all the text on websites was really tiny, now I'm used to it I quite like it even though I do have to squint at the screen to read the text lol!

Re: internet explorer 7?

Cheers entwisi I'll give that a try. It's actually the whole look of the websites. Another forum I go on, the message board filled the screen perfectly and the text was large enough to read comfortably but since changing to IE 7 the board has a big black border round it. It looks like it's actually part of the website but it wasn't there before. It's a bit hard to explain ...

Re: internet explorer 7?

That unfortunately is down to what is called the 'style sheet'

Crap programmers have long been getting away with poor websites, IE used to deal with their code the best(as in it seemed to display what they wanted, not what they coded), now it is starting to apply the rules far more tightly and their crap sites will show up any errors

Re: internet explorer 7?

Ah I see

Well I suppose that's one benefit of the zoom tool on IE 7

Re: internet explorer 7?

Or you could just start using a decent browser

www.opera.com

Seriously, give it a go, it won't screw up your PC or take over any links unless you tell it to. It adds lots of really nice features and if you are fortunate enough to have a brain wired like mine it just 'works' as in it does exactly what I want, when I want it

e.g. a url on a webpage, shade it right click and there is a goto URL option. no cut n paste. Or shade and right click some text, right click and there is a search with tool wher you can select from a number of useful search engines/sites

tabbed browsing, phishing flters, thumbnail views of all tabs, one touch keyboadr shortcuts

I'm sure IE 7 does all those things
