But the same socket for the usb. Looks like you also need the adapter if you want to connect the tablet to a wired connection(Ethernet) ?

Yes it has two USB ports and an ethernet connection.

You don't have to use the Ethernet connection.......just use the USB ports.

The link susie posted is the cheapest I can find online. Id go with that.

Ordering a keyboard for a tablet speaks volumes to how you use a pc. That is not a joke. I would do the same thing. I was looking at a notebook other day and its tiny keyboard. I said to the shop owner "I would end up plugging in keyboard in that thing" But I am tempted to buy a notebook as i am going to college in September to retake English.

I really hate this whole touch screen revolution. I read that M$ are going to code in windows8 that you can't remove the metro crap. I can't see myself ever using a virtual keyboard, touching the screen at my pc desk at home.

But I find myself wanting one of those tablets. How are you liking yours?

and who would want to sit there with a tablet, by the window where the router is plugged in. (my phone sockets always seem to be by the window)

Mine picks up wireless very well. I bought mine a good while ago - I wasn't sure if I would like it so I didn't spend a lot on it. I have used it quite a bit....definitely got my moneys worth out of it.

I was perplexed though when putting an Sd card in it and it kept telling me to 'mount' my Sd card........I had to check out Youtube to find out what this meant.
The instructions that came with the tablet are just useless. It was a steepish learning curve for me...but hey...if you are learning you know you aren't dead:D.

Rob, couldn't agree more. Touchscreen just does not appeal to me at all. But I do like my little notebook/netbook/laptop whatever you like to call it. Have been watching bits of the Olympics on it and it's great -as is the BBC website, can more or less watch anything when you want.

So Rob why do you want a tablet...??

Last night reading around the net about MID tablets some reviews said some of them wouldn't pick up wifi from a few inches away! Cheap Chinese rubbish - nearly said junk there but it's not a boat!

Mine is supposed to have the guts that they put in the Samsung Tablet(I can't check it so they could tell me anything) I suppose you get what you pay for

Re: android tablet usb adaptor?

I don't actually have the internet at home, i just pick up mi dads wifi from next door, it's passworded so only me and dad can get on it, my tablet picks it up fine as does mine and Reece's laptop, i bought the tablet for train journeys, my laptop gets a bit heavy when carrying it around all the cities i get to, i want it for the kindle app too, i think its wonderful and more than definately worth the £35 i paid for it

Re: android tablet usb adaptor?

I have had mine for a couple of years and it is great for showing Ma pics......and for her to read the e-mails from my brother and sister out in Oz. I have had my moneysworth if I never touched it again....if it broke I would defininitely want to get another one.....perhaps a branded one this time with better info on how to use.

Re: android tablet usb adaptor?

Did you try it to see if the USB works?
It looks like it might be a goer...personally I would wait to see if the keyboard plugs into it when it arrives....and more importantly, see if it works.
Now you know what lind of adapter you need then I'm sure you would be able to pick one up from e-bay.
