Smiley Central "banners test".

We need your help.

Can anyone who uses “smiley central” animated images please make a post in here. Post anything you like but make sure you add one or two or three of their animations in your post but please do not add their Banner yourself.
We need to find out if “smiley central” are automatical adding unwanted Banners to our forums.
See image below.
Your help would be most appreciated with this.
Cheers.

I am only using Granny’s post here as an example, there are many posts containing the banners.
Thanks Granny.

Re: central banners test.

After having done a few more tests it looks like these advertising Banners are being added automatically without the poster being aware of it and this is a no no.
We will have decided on what we should do with these animated gif’s from “smiley Central"

Thanks Granny….. you have been a great help with this and thanks for answering my pm’s.

The post you have made in this thread contains a banner that you don’t know about and cannot see.
Have a look at this screen capture I have done and you will see it. hehe

I think somewhere amongst that lot mick must be a hidden advertising banner from smiley central which gets displayed in the post.

The Banner is there. Smiley Central are being very sneaky by spamming the boards with advertising banners.

Re: Smiley Central "banners test".

Maybe it’s a case of…. only people who are not using Smiley Central see the adverts.

We will either have to stop using Smiley Central here at Accyweb or we all join Smiley Central so we don’t see the adds. Hehe

To be honest thou… we do not want the banners, so if anyone can come up with a fix that can be applied to the html prier to posting that will stop it for adding the banners then we can continue to use Smiley central. If not then……..it speaks for its self.

Smiley central are being very sneaky in adding those banners. I suggest those that use smiley central email support and complain, or try to find a way to switch it off. Otherwise I am afraid the use of smiley central will have to be banned here at accyweb.

So if you have Smiley central installed on your pc you wont see the banner but if you have not got it then you can see all the posts with the banner on

I have seen it on other peoples posts but never my own, when we were playing with marquees about a year ago, I put one on site that used a different font to what was used on accyweb it looked as I thought it would to me but on site because that font wasn't used everything looked different.
Could they have loaded something onto the server?

In the mean time until Smiley (not Roy) resolve this problem I won't use them in any of my posts.

There are plenty of other free sites out there for animations, hopefully they won't cause these problems.

Or, they can offer Roy a decent return for advertising their product which should make us all happy.

Less, I have never seen the smiley central banner on any of your posts even though I believe you are an avid user :) Maybe you have found and de-selected the hidden setting for disabling the automated spamming... please tell...
