Dear me, Bob.
'A table is a collection of related data held in a structural format within a database. It consists of fields(columns) and rows'.
Example-
Boy_______Cane________lines___Detention____Board Duster

Bob_______373_________578_____241________1763
Barry_______17_________23_______41_________521
Gordon______1__________1________2___________4
Arthur_______0__________0________0___________0

In the interests of modesty I've inflated my numbers a bit.

Otherwise the numbers are from memory but are probably fairly accurate.
Not all tables have 4 legs!

It is clear to me that Bob doesn't have a table, because he asked to get his feet under mine (see kipper thread - post 19) :D

Careful, MargaretR, that's just his way of getting through your door. Kippers-last thing on his mind
He may be getting on but he's still dangerous!

Code:

      Head1  Head2  Head3
Tom      7      7    22
Dick    55            6
Harry    1      9      3

It's a lot of messing about...

Now then, Studio25, how did you do that? No dashes, stops or anything! Although if it's a lot of messing about it's probably beyond me.

Re: How do you do a Table?

Start up the trusty notepad in Windows and type up your table the way you want it to appear in plain text - using spaces to arrange the columns. Then press <Ctrl A> then <Ctrl C>

Back in your Accyweb post, click "Go advanced" if you aren't already using that feature. Above your text, in the row of formatting symbols, there's a hash button second from right. When you click it, it'll put
[code][/code]
at the point where your cursor is flashing.

Move your cursor back to the adjacent square brackets at the middle and press <Ctrl V>

Good luck

Hell, S25, I didn't even know I had a Windows notepad and I certainly wouldn't trust it- everything I try goes wrong and it's never my fault!

I'll have to try that but if I make it work I'll be expecting a degree in Computer Programming.

If you're running a version of Windows since vista, all you need to do is press the windows key on your keyboard or click the start button at the bottom left. Then type "notepad" and the program will appear in the results.

If you want to locate it manually, it's in the "Accessories" program group.

Or hold down the windows key and tap R to open the run command box, then type notepad.

Don't think I want to know what Gordon and yourself were "doing" Bob thank you very much.
