Led Zep... Definitely not rock n roll, but not heavy metal either. It's rock to me. Would be interesting to know how they define themselves.

Suppose one's definition of rock n roll depends on how old you are?

As Cashy runs a highly successful rock 'n' roll night - one of the most popular in the area - I would suggest that he knows more about what to play at this type of event than you do.

As for Led Zeppelin's "Rock And Roll", despite the fact that John Bonham modelled his drum pattern on Earl Palmer's in Little Richard's "Good Golly Miss Molly", they could be done under the Trades Description Act for giving the song a title like that!

Oh dear, oh dear, the boot would appear to be on the other foot now, wouldn't it, my aquatic friend?

Can I recommend a book to you? "The Sound of The City" by Charlie Gillett - a excellent volume which gives the full lowdown on the roots and subsequent development of rock 'n' roll. Read it and you'll learn something - it might also stop you from making a fool of yourself on messageboards!

hahahaha making a fool of myself?!

you and cashman are the ones arguing with yourselves (on the bonham issue and now the shannon thing) because i keep bringing up the right points and your theories fall apart.

ill give it to you, youre persistent, but i doubt many believe in your strictly fascist unevolving version of rock and roll music.
