Jay, in the early 70's i worked as a wood turner less than a mile from m/c city center, In the same area was an aluminium foundry, funny smell, big Duckhams oil place, Phillips rubbers stick a soles, there was always an evo stick kind of smell. And the Bone Works. To this day i can still smell that, don't think i've ever come across a smell that compares with that. In fact think i'd best go and sit down and take a powder.

One of my favourite 45's of all time, released by an impossibly obscure band in the Chicago area in the late 60's and sank without a trace. Later became a huge Northern Soul favourite in Stoke, Wigan and all points North. But it's far more than just a Northern Soul record...it's a vibrant, compelling mix of soul, funk, rock, jazz and a lot more.
