Wynonie,Saw a program on TV last night, John Lennon's Juke Box, Mostly black artists, Wilson Pickett, Larry Williams, etc. A show with no sign of Paul McCartney, what a miracle, Dont think he realizes, there was three others in the Beatles.

Al, there's a double CD of the same name to tie in with the programme. 75% of it is killer R&B/soul/rock 'n' roll. It's on Virgin, so it should be quite easy to pick up in Oz. Whatever other faults he had, Lennon certainly had great taste in music.

Lew Lewis - a great blueswailin' harmonica player, also from Canvey Island (it must be something in the water down there). Originally in Eddie & the Hot Rods, but then split to stay true to his rhythm & blues roots when they went commercial.

I took Lettie to the Printworks to see the film 'Closer', yesterday. This is the title track that the film opens with, and rolls the credits with. It is pure class.

but for me its what my dad terms as black n decker music... 'object of my desire', my bro likes to keep me uptodate on this genre. But i do like the Rasmus in the shadows...thats a gr8 sing shout along on full welly song as is Anastacia's left outside alone gr8 girly tune.

listened to the new greenday album all the way through this week its a decent album not as good as there last one though and at the mo listening to some trance album ive just downloaded its an oldish one but some class tunez on it ive never heard of

don't really like them very much. my faverate band of all time has to be THE CALLING i don't think that they are as famous as they should be they need to let out more singles. believe me buy there album and listen to it. they rule.

Well I'm having a retro moment and listening to his album "Copper Blue" by his next band, Sugar. It was released in 1992.
It was Bob Mould's music that provided the inspiration and impetus for the next generation of American alternative music; The Pixies, Dinosaur Jr & Nirvana amongst others.
