If you want an afternoon of Northern, Motown, 70's crossover, R&B and modern soul, get along to the next "Heaven In The Afternoon" at The Grand in Clitheroe on 29/1/2012.

If you look closely you'll spot a couple of Accy faces on this clip!

It's Dave Law.

Dave's still on the Northern Soul scene, guest DJing at various venues up and down the area.

He's one of the Accy faces I thought you might have spotted in the clip.

Lew Kirton - heaven in the afternoon - Alston - YouTube

I thought it only appropriate to accompany thi clip with Lew Kirton.

Had a good night last night at the Arden Inn, it was a soul/motown evening. Looks like it's a regular thing the 2nd Saturday of the month.

You're probably talking about later years Steve, I remember the all nighters (69-70 I think. We used to leave Accrington about 9.30 pm Saturday night and return Sunday morning on the first bus out of Manchester. Now that I think of those times, I realise just how crazy we were!!
