The club which went bankrupt in 1962 and couldnt fulfill its fixtures were founding members of the football league.

It is all bullpoo about the present club being an ex-league club.

Morecambe FC pride of Lancashire

So on that basis how does that work with the Milton Keens Dons then or Aidrie United up here? The name lives on thats all that matters and I for one am extremely proud. I work with people who reconise the old team and make no distinction between the two. Maybe oneday you will see why!!!

Ask Jack Barrett if it isn't the same club, or anyone else who want to Peel Park to watch one of the most famous names in Football

Seriously though Mr Red, you love us don't you!

I actually quite like Accrington Stanley and was pulling for them in the Final against Barrow at Christie Park.

Friendly banter makes it more interesting.

friendly banter can be interesting, but every bloody week from the Borecambe lot can get rather tedious

.
Only about 150 from York

I would think Southport took more to Accrington yesterday than York brought to Morecambe.

Our average is nearly 400 a game more than Accrington which is a far better indication.

york brought 800 to stanley..Must only turn up to big games between play off contenders :)

Morecambe do not have any other decent club for miles which must make a difference to their attendances - and lets face it there's nowt else to do in Morecambe and thats in the summer not on a bleak winters afternoon

Probably only brought 150 because they knew they were going home from the Fortress with nothing. They fancied their chances at the Crown.

I would have thought 1,600 was disappointing for "an ex league club" when you see Exeter averaging over 4,000 and Hereford nearly 3,000.
