Re: Mathematically impossible

It’s the threat that counts Harwood, knowing these teams are behind us doesn’t do anything to relieve the disappointment of today. Too much time wasting on the deck caused us to play six minutes extra time which cost us the game and a 19 point cushion. Hereford play Southport on Tuesday night and I don’t really think they will hold up Hereford so that could well bring them within 13 points when we play on Saturday.

Re: Mathematically impossible

alot of that time wasting was actually robbie elliot on the deck as you put it!! As we all know if your keeper is down getting treatment you cannot continue the game, although I thought 6 mins added was a bit over the top and we paid the price when they equalised in the 5th min.

I still think mentally it helps to know that so few teams are mathematically unable to pass us now. And to be honest, for hereford to turn around 16 points is an absolute mammoth task for them and we would have to completely fall apart to even give them a chance to do so!!! Never mind anyone else

Listen to us , complaining about a draw at Hereford. The facts are, we have had a tremendous season so far, and it will continue with a win on Saturday...come on lads Stanley ARE going up, keep the faith!

I don’t like dramatic endings. See you Saturday for what I hope will be a continuation of a tremendous season. :)

Sorry to be picky Red, but Woking can. You were right the first time.

Re: Mathematically impossible

That's for me too. I haven't seen them since the IES was a pub pitch with a fence round it, and the Crawley and Aldershot games were in range for me (OK I know anything's in range for a real fan - sorry) - but I thought if I turned up I'd jinx things. Hope it's all over by the Woking game and I can go without fretting.

16 was ok, I'd be even less happy with 13. End of the day I might a misrable basterd with an opinion. but for me the the bigger the cushion the better.

Come on, lets have an 'updated' table,

Didnt someone say anyone below 8th cant catch us now?

Doug - Im just saying - before the Hereford game it was 16 points, all good, and after the Hereford game it was the same but with 1 more game played - still all good!!!

Thanks Jimbo, teams left, to cross off, one by one, are: Hereford, Halifax, York, Morecambe, Grays, Stevenage, Exeter and Woking.

Haven't Exeter collapsed since we beat them in their own back yard!

There’s no problem here Jimbo, The last thing I would want to do is belittle the fantastic results the lads have achieved this season and the tremendous support they have receive from the fans, not least those that give time and effort to be at every possible game. There are reasons why I would like to see the club re enter the Football League we the greatest possible points lead, but at the end of the day we’re going up and that’s all that matters.
