I'm just wondering if this story might have 'owt to do with the people from Accy who were wondering around the vicinity of News International last friday night and drinking with one or two of the journalists from The Sun....

i urge everybody not to buy the paper, the sun is a rag that printed lies about hillsborough.

Go on then.. what paper told the truth... the SUN does it with less tack and from what I can remeber about daily papers usually a day after everyone else. but its generally the same crap in all of em..

The hillsborough thing with the sun (just the sun bit now before you go off on one) has been well documented... or to be more blunt dont to death on here.. dont start it all agin this is an ACCRINGTON STANLEY FC forum

Definitely the view of Accy fans, but the collective view of national sports media is Premiership & League orientated - so our success of returning to the football league to the nationals was nothing more than a "aww, that's nice" sort of headline.
I think that if we acheive a good cup run or even get promoted this year then IMO that will be when we start to get taken seriously in football circles, not merely as the friendly club with the nice history lesson attatched to it.

You mean that the other tabloids AREN'T rags and DON'T print lies???

Some seem to be taking this a bit too seriously...it's just a silly season non-story that'll be forgotten about in a matter of days.

Its always nice to have a bit of publicity though, especially on the front of a national tabloid, even if it is all a pack of lies

thanx for you`re advice but i for one like the lie printing rags known as tabloids very much and will continue to buy them......especially the sun.......its like oh my god don`t buy RAZZLE it prints porn!!!!! get over it. we got front page its a laugh...a joke....lighthearted....take it at face value............erm we DID turn sven down did`nt we????

I really don't belive it was serious, as if Whalley said yes we would have pulled Sven on board in that respect

Im happy with the situation at the moment regarding management, and lets just hope we can bring in good quality back-up in later tonight

coudl have happened if we could affod his £13,000 a day wages!!!!!!!!!!! that the fa is still paying him and not giving in grants to clubs like us!

Yes, but the harsh fact is, who, apart from the top flight clubs, can afford to pay thier gaffer £13k a week
