I have faith in Coley. Rory, Evil and Roberts have all been class for us and left to a bigger side, next winger is going to the premiership ? :p Remember this record of selling players to bigger clubs will help us attract some young talent, hoping for a move to the bigger leagues.

If we let players like Gary go,the price must be right including a sell on clause if they make the Premiership..What's happeneddto Matt Jansan nowadays..I fancy him on laon if we could get him

went to Bolton didn't he? I'm sure he went there at the beginning of the season on a weekly contract. Yeah, he would be an affordable asset. Would get all the floating Rovers fans in as well.

From the BBC website : "Stanley rejected a £500,000 bid for Roberts, 22, in the summer." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...ey/6061986.stm

Ipswich must have made one hell of a good offer then.:)

What about Carl Baker from Southport as a replacement for Gary.

I reckon they added a nought by accident.

They offered 20k and then 50k. Where would Yeovil have got 500k from?

ipswich are in debt and are hardly gonna pay 750k for a league two player that might not cut it are they, 250 seems about right.

Re: Gary Roberts Gone!!!!!!!!!

For Info. He played on wing last night, we have been strugglin in that area for some time.. He has ability (as you well know) to beat players and whip in some telling crosses and we have strikers in abundance so pretty sure that is where he will predomonately feature, Just a pity we aint got a defence at the moment...!!

Good home draw against Blackpool in next round of cup. Should bring in a few more quid.!!

I haven't posted on here for eons, but this has dragged me back. I have been a fan of Accrington since my daughter met an Accrintgon lad and I then found I was a Stanley-in-law.

It's not only bad for the club, it hurts because my allegiances lie about 40 miles North of where he's gone. You'll not get any money from them because they're skint. They couldn't even afford a new manager.

It will be good for Gary if he does well, and in all seriousness I hope he does, but if he scores against us in November I'm going to be devastated:drink: :drink:

Hope this info is useful.

I think you'll find that's an area where Gary has been struggling for some time too. His resugence has come when he's been played as a striker and not as a winger.

Good luck to Gary, but in all honesty I can't see him making it at that level.
