its goo d to have feedback from people but how can it be better advertised?

It is advertised hourly on the two local radio stations, it had a two page write up in the daily local paper, four pages in the local weekly paper, fixture lists are compiled in every national daily paper (and as afootball fan out of town I would look at this list to see if there is a game nearby), its on the Official website, there are numerous forums about, Tourist Information would have details about it.

Not everybody reads the paper, listens to the radio, surfs the web or visits the tourist information. The only way to reach these people would be to knock on their doors and tell them.

Thought about ideas in the recent past include match day posters in shiop windows and advertising boards on the arterial roads into Accrington. However, the posters require disciplined dedication for numerous people on a weekly or twice weekly basis to go to however many shops and display the new poster. That is a logistical nightmare. The arterial road boards have been talked about by the OSC and the Ultras but as yet nothing has materialised.

I have no problem with swearing at a football match. None at all and myself swear mostly at the ref but at players and even managers. I do not care if women or children are present. I do not swear like this at home or work.

But these new yobs as you call them. complete with Burberry hats are also responsible for the racist comments at the wycombe goalie and again at Torquay. As they stand with or next to the ultras then you have heard them and done nothing. Don't be too surprised when you are all tarred with the same brush and the ultras are branded as racists.

I complained to the club. I am far too old to tackle them myself. Ultras you need to separate yourselves from these people or sort them out yourselves.

All the hard work you guys have done with the flags, drums, singing and everything else will be undone in an instant if you let these racists in. like a cancer they will destroy everything you have worked so hard to achieve.

I was also at the Torquay match and saw the very same "fans" that have already been mentioned.In no way am I a prude and I treat swearing as part and parcel of a football match - people just letting off steam (though I don't swear myself) - but the language coming from these guys was foul and abusive, and they seemed to keep it up for the entire match.

Though they were standing not far from the Ultras, I don't think anyone should confuse them with the Ultras, who are always fun with their fantastic level of support, singing and chanting, all of which is good natured and not offensive in any way (at least not to my ears !).

I should also mention that I was standing next to an elderly gentleman who is very well known to almost all Stanley fans, and he told me that he was appalled by the abuse from these so called "fans".

Myself and my two sons (all season ticket holders Jeff) were there on Tuesday as were my mum & stepdad (surprisingly enough they're season ticket holders too). The prices were a bit steep and the match wasn't that good but the penalty shoot out at the end was worth every penny. And yes, we'll all be there for the Blackpool game as well.

Whilst I sympathise with the folks on here complaining about the swearing etc etc, Have anyone of you contacted a steward to get something done about it? If the answer is yes and the steward did nothing, suggest that you contact Mick Schultz asap to sort it out. I hear it sometimes in the main stand but I cannot point the finger at any particular group or individual so it is no use me complaining.

As regards the posters advertising games on the arterial roads, the club has already tried this, but the problem is, some yob is tearing them down within half an hour of them being put up. Unless we stand guard over them we have no chance (BTW this information was overheard from club officials at Torquay)

I also heard the loud mouthed ignorant prats standing to the right of the Ultras and moved away along the terrace at half time as their boorish behaviour was appalling.They obviously thought themselves to be the bees knees and highly amusing.
The poor steward was looking right at them the whole time and should certainly have drawn the attention of a few more weighty officials to the problem. Absolute waste of time the Tannoy man's pious announcements about zero tolerance of bad language, abuse, etc. when this is allowed to happen.
Shameful treatment of the Carlisle fans, even if they couldn't hear a word of it from their end, especially when you compare it to their good natured appreciation of our swimming pool banners, etc, when we played up at their place last time.

point them out to a photgrapher at the next match. The pratts could then be identified off the website to club officials who could then take steps to ensure they dont get in again. Last thing we need is five or six numpties getting us a bad name, bad press and losing us other fans.

Unfortunatley this is the sign of progress. A lot of the louder fans have been around long enough to have developed a sense of respect for others around us, a tolerance of ground rules and a genuine love of the club rather than a love of a good booze up and loud mouthed swearing at anybody who will listen.

I know the people involved & had words at the Torquay game when "Tw" & "Cu" words were used very much at the wrong time & in the earshot of a few senior members

However, as an Accy fan I go to the football to stand with mates, get drunk & have a laugh not police the terrace. Stewards are the ones with that enviable task & get paid (or not) for the privilege

If a fan stands on the Clayton End Terrace he represents himself not the Ultras Supporters Club...........

4 arrested and chucked out today with banning orders, Mick Shultz has asked me to pass the message on that this is a family club and drinking on the terrace racism etc will not be tolerated and that the club have a zero tolarence policy, which has been shown today
