Re: Elliot to leave

Mullin has pulled us out of the sh-t so many times. His work rate is excellent, he may lack pace but makes up with it through sheer hard work. Why isnt mangan getting a run out? Missed a lot of games this year due to work commitments and family commitments so cannot comment.

all this slagging eric off, shame on you. We have come further then ever. We are in league 2!! Have you forgotten the days of Unibond 1, playing Trafford and the others. I never ever dreamed we would make it back into the league. Rome wasn't built in a day! Things take time. You cant have everything! Just be happy with what you have got for the moment. We have bypassed so many clubs from the conference who have been in there years, they must be so jealous. We are holding our own in the league, be thankful, I certainly am!!!!

We are holding our own in the league. But is it possible that ASFC might just have expanded too soon.
I'm not saying that I'd rather be back playing Barrow but it's the same with all business' and organisations. Rapid expansion is not always for the best.

I asked the question was it time for a new Chairman, this was brought about by a conversation I had the other day with one of the older Stanley fans who remembered a game that was cancelled due to floodlight failure possibly Ashton Utd a number of years ago. At this non-match Eric made a statement that he had enough "clout" to get us into the league but that was all, Eric has been true to his word so far but has he enough "clout" to take us any higher ???

So Bagpuss, Stanerlee and UKCowboy. Are you going to be forming an Eric out club. organise banners and marches and demand his resignation. A petition perhaps? You could call yourselves the three judas or judas3 that has a ring to it.

i actually think people overate mullin vastly, he has become a hero at accrington but i for one think that he could easily be replaced with any half decent target man.

You're obviously entitled to your opinion but in my opinion you couldn't be more wrong. How can our highest scorer/player of the year/players player of the year for numerous seasons be over-rated?

Players player of the year 4 out of 5?

I assume that players recognise somebody whose contribution to the team is good, better than a fan?

Come off it!
This season you have stated:-
Craney is a passenger - vastly over rated.
Gary Roberts is our most over rated player.
Rocky is abysmal.
Mullin hasn't won a single header .

Anyone else you can think of?:)

Todd - lazy

Re: Elliot to leave

Haha nobody can ever say todd is lazy, that would be overstepping the line. i stand by all of my other points though. Especially the craney one. h is a passanger. dont let the free kicks mask his performances

I've just read my posts again and nowhere have I said that it was my opinion that Eric should go I just asked the question that has been rumbling for a few weeks.:(

every player goes through peaks and troughs of form, as they say form is temporary, class is permanant.

I think you'll find that most people on here beleive that mully is PURE class.

Craney is also class but suffers sometimes with consistancy, you don't win unibond player of the year and conference player of the year in the space of 3 seasons without something in your locker.

You must have me mixed up with someone who gives a ****   .............I simply agreed with the question that Bagpuss posed, that does not automatically mean that I believe Eric should step down.

I suggest that you re-read Bagpuss's original post, because nowhere in it does He say that Eric SHOULD step down, He merely asks a question, and one that I have heard on more than one occasion in and around the ground.
