For God's sake grow up! People have been saying that about Rocky for years - but look what happened after he was brought off injured on Saturday, Phil was put on in his place and we conceded 3 goals. Yes Phil Edwards is a good player but Cav has proven himself over & over again. I reckon we should count ourselves lucky that we've got both of them.

Actually Edwards did what he should have done and forced Maclean right to the by-line. His shot was weak and shouldn't have beaten Bav.

Edwards shouldn't have had to deal with McLean, Edwards was playing at centre half, Cav should have been dealing with him instead of standing on the half way line claiming for offside.

Because people much more qualified than you see his quality.
Obviously.

Browny doesn't get a look in for whatever reason and probably isn't the lethal striker we need and Boco is better served deeper and coming from midfield. A number 9 is what we need, not a number 10a.

i think mangan deserves a chance to prove himself. he scores consistantly in reserve games when he plays 90 minutes so why isn't coley starting him.

i think mangan deserves a chance too, the lad is gonna start getting frustrated. people say he can only play for the last 15 mins but he plays 90 for the reserves and has scored 8 in 9 games is it?

Re: Elliot to leave

The games in League 2 and the Reserve league are worlds apart.
Yes Mangan by right should have his chance because of his improvement over the past year & on that notion so should David Brown, however Craney & Mullin have got a great partnership going so the bench it is for Mangan.

Re: Elliot to leave

by playing midfielders upfront, it must make mangan and brown feel dejected. they are strikers yet they are not getting a look in. Start of the season it was boco and mullin upfront, then boco drops back to midfield brown an mangan must of thought heres my chance but then gary plays upfront. He did well, but when he left they must of thought here we go, nows our chance to stake a claim but coleman goes for craney instead. their morale must be rock bottom, i wouldnt be surprised if those two wanted to leave

couldn't agree more, if coleman thins mangan is good enough to come on at any point in a league game then why can't it be from the start? i feel sorry for the young lad. after watching him perform well last season i thought coleman would have seen the potential in him and given him more chances to play

Getting back to the point of the thread, I think it is about time Robbie Elliot now got a chance to show his mettle in goal after the last three weeks. And on the subject of the rest, put it on a different thread, this one is about the goalkeeping situation not the defence, midfield or attack.
