any money for improving the ground, that we may or may not have recieved, has been spent on just that, ground improvements.

control room
cctv
police command centre
electronic turnstile counter computer thingy
extra turnstiles
perimeter fencing
segregation imrovements
toilets and plumbing
first aid room
pitchside wall on whinney hill terace
increased security features
improved public address system
tarmacing of internal compound areas

I can go on . . . . . .

As regards the control room the club have done lots of things to try and appease the residents for instance, the window that was over looking eric whalley way to livingstone round was filled in so it didn't over look the residents gardens anymore, and the area of the steps which has been mentioned, originally was only walled by a scaffolding rail, but now has a 5 foot high wood garden fence round it so that people can no longer stand on the landing there and gaze into the residents back gardens.

I have one question, what are the residents growing in their back gardens, and why don't they want people to see it?!!!!!;) ;) :D

One of our neighbours has a hot tub and I cannot imagine they would want a police patrol room looming over it.

May be it would bit reminiscent of part of Northern Cyprus with an army watch tower by the beach.

Felix you know the money is available so cut the crap.;)

I know the money is available....?? :o The money is not available as was suggested in the article.

The roof is the priority and I believe that the roof will be done or at least well underway by the start of next season. For which, an application for grant funding has indeed been submitted.

The police control room has to my knowledge cropped up quite suddenly - this certainly isnt someting high on he club's agenda as an individual item although as part of the long term stadium improvement, it will be addressed.

The morons who protest at absolutely everything the club does, need to get a hobby. They are pathetic, why would anyone be interested in what those bores get up to in their back garden.

Felix,

As an employee of the Club, do you think that it is wise to post comments like the one highlighted, as the people that you refer to as 'morons' may well read this post and I for one was under the impression that the Club was trying to get relations with thier neighbours on a better footing.

Comments like this will do nothing to help the situation, but most probably will damage the rather fragile relationship that is in place now.

With all due respect, perhaps you should try to remember your position within the Club and think a little more before posting inflamatory remarks on a PUBLIC forum.

Just a thought.

Excellent point Ukcowboy seems that club employees/reps are allowing their mouth to open before engaging the brain especially when club issues are concerned, which doesn't create a good impression & in this case could give those neighbours more ammo to fire with against the club, which we could do without!

Just a couple of things I'd like to add....
Irrespective of my job these are my personal views, to which I am entitled to hold and share THESE ARE NOT THE VIEWS OF THE ORGANISATION FOR WHOM I AM EMPLOYED.

and to the person who left me bad karma calling me a PROSTITUTE....why the secrecy?

Just hope that ASFC stay in the league and that they can then get this building worked out so that the vast majority of people are happy.

So the rule about having a police control box at a Football League ground has only just come in then ?

Irrelevant I'm afraid. As an employed person of the club then you have to some proffesionalism and realise you cannot just say what you want in relation to club issues. I think you and somebody else on here should also realise that the people you are referring to as morons could well be paying your wages

Felix, cut the crap please. It is a well documented fact that Police Control rooms are required for all football league grounds. It is also another well documented fact that the club had planning permission for 12 months only for the Portakabin - so to spout out that it isn't something that the high on the club's agenda is, I am afraid to say, a load of bull poo. The club were aware of this, and it is a known fact that Eric will not pay for something until it is absolutely necessary.

Sparkie, just to pick up a point on your bit about the ground improvements, if the turnstiles have electronic counters, how come each turnstile operator has to list the numbers at the start of each match, surely this is a manual counter, counting each person with every revolution of the turnstile n'est pa?

Best thing you ever said on this forum. BTW please get your facts right. The fans are not complaining, just enlightening you to what is already known.
