Here goes again!

I see the local council are against us again, maybe the proper building should have been put up by now but still its not very nice when the local council isn't behind you is it

Typical though isn't it, personally I find the bit about the open stairway overlooking people's gardens laughable. I recently had to use the stairway which is a little tricky to negotiate and believe me the last thing anyone going up or down it would be thinking of would be peeking into anyone's garden.

I suppose the final sentance gives the game away..."The officers have recommended the councillors refuse the plan...".

Two questions therefore:

1) Who runs HBC - the elected representatives or the soft-arsed bureaucrats?

2) If it comes to a vote, will we see which councillors vote to allow the existing structure to continue for another season and those which vote for it to be immeadiatly replaced?

Re: Here goes again!

Really makes me laugh does the residents - why live near a footy stadium then if its that much of a problem!!!!!!!!! Gee i said i'll swop lol!!!

Mind u Stanley should be getting the ground sorted tho, temporary means temporary, they should be looking to sorting these problems out asap really as with the roo.....[f] which still nothing is materialised, they have made their fight with the FL to stay up on own merits then so should the ground being sorted to follow otherwise it be like stevenage Boro - didnt they have problems with their ground being upto Football League standards????

Also the council set of jobs worths should be supporting & helping the club with its problems??? not stopping them - dont they know that it increases visitors to the town ???

Re: Here goes again!

The article says the money is available. Is this not a case of the club hedging it's bets and not paying money out if they don't need a police control box next season ?

Re: Here goes again!

If the planing permission has been granted ,and funds are in place for construction, why do you automatically blame the council while the club once again drags it's feet so to speak. "WHERE'S THE F IN ROO". Just goes to show that even when they have the allotted funds, they're too tight to spend them.
The article states that the temporary building it vital for the club. This is not true, it is the permanant structure that is vital for the club.

Re: Here goes again!

Surely, the club and council could reach some sort of compromise on this? ie - the club have their planning permission for the temporary structure renewed, provided they build the permanent one by a specified date.

Will the precious residents approve of a permanent structure? Don't hold your breath!

Re: Here goes again!

it sound 50/50 to me. I think both the club and the council need to pull out the odd finger and get on with it. If the person(s) affected by their gardens being overlooked, if they would like to put there homes on the market I think they go well.

Re: Here goes again!

Right I'm fed up now.....it seems to be one long merry go round...got the cash, got the permission...what's the problem with getting it started??

Ok I'm sure it's not as simple as that...tbh I think it's more of a delay tactic cos if we are relegated then the work doesn't need doing.... if we stay up maybe the ground re locating may resurface again!!!
