Re: vs Chesterfield
Accrington Stanley---Powered by the crowd
Second half atmosphere was like a cup tie, the Clayton End cheering every time a Stanley player touched the ball. When the goalie tried to clock Jay Harris then the crowd erupted. From then on a Stanley win with adreneline flooding from the supporters to the team. Most enjoyable 45 minutes for a very long while! |
Re: vs Chesterfield
Weigh up their keeper and send him to Vegas Mayweather has an opponent.
Terrible display, good thing they were worse. Yes we had all the possession but it really was a case of them being bad rather than us being good I'm afraid :( <script type="text/javascript">function __RP_Callback_Helper(str, strCallbackEvent, splitSize, func){var event = null;if (strCallbackEvent){event = document.createEvent('Events');event.initEvent(str CallbackEvent, true, true);**if (str && str.length > 0){var splitList = str.split('|');var strCompare = str;if (splitList.length == splitSize)strCompare = splitList[splitSize-1];var pluginList = document.plugins;for (var count = 0; count < pluginList.length; count++){var sSrc = '';if (pluginList[count] && pluginList[count].src)sSrc = pluginList[count].src;if (strCompare.length >= sSrc.length){if (strCompare.indexOf(sSrc) != -1){func(str, count, pluginList, splitList);break;********if (strCallbackEvent)document.body.dispatchEvent(even t);**function __RP_Coord_Callback(str){var func = function(str, index, pluginList, splitList){pluginList[index].__RP_Coord_Callback = str;pluginList[index].__RP_Coord_Callback_Left = splitList[0];pluginList[index].__RP_Coord_Callback_Top = splitList[1];pluginList[index].__RP_Coord_Callback_Right = splitList[2];pluginList[index].__RP_Coord_Callback_Bottom = splitList[3];**;__RP_Callback_Helper(str, 'rp-JavaScript-coord-callback', 5, func);**function __RP_Url_Callback(str){var func = function(str, index, pluginList, splitList){pluginList[index].__RP_Url_Callback = str;pluginList[index].__RP_Url_Callback_Vid = splitList[0];pluginList[index].__RP_Url_Callback_Parent = splitList[1];**;__RP_Callback_Helper(str, 'rp-JavaScript-url-callback', 3, func);**function __RP_TotalBytes_Callback(str){var func = function(str, index, pluginList, splitList){pluginList[index].__RP_TotalBytes_Callback = str;pluginList[index].__RP_TotalBytes_Callback_Bytes = splitList[0];**;__RP_Callback_Helper(str, null, 2, func);**function __RP_Connection_Callback(str){var func = function(str, index, pluginList, splitList){pluginList[index].__RP_Connection_Callback = str;pluginList[index].__RP_Connection_Callback_Url = splitList[0];**;__RP_Callback_Helper(str, null, 2, func);**</script> |
Re: vs Chesterfield
How a team plays is always 'subjective', But 3 points is 3 points.

Re: vs Chesterfield
Always appreciate the 3 points, but it wasn't pretty today.
When I saw the size of the Chesterfield team I assumed that the tactics would be to play the ball on the floor and use the pace of Roscoe. We didn't start to do that until the last third of the game and it paid off. To be fair to Whalley, who has taken a lot of stick this season, his pace and direct play instantly caused problems for those big monsters. As soon as he started running at them, you could tell they were worried. Nice to see a little variation at corners too. The driven ball from Craney was perfect for Roscoe to head home. There was more effort from the team today, even though confidence was obviously rock bottom. I still don't see Branch as a team player (see his outburst at Dunbavin and his verbal assault on the fans), but the 3 points were a nice bonus. |
Re: vs Chesterfield
...I wonder how OGGY got on with the Liner..??...

Re: vs Chesterfield
Did Branch have ago at the fans?? He must read this forum then.

Three points are great; but if we play like that against a half decent side (because Chesterfield were, almost unbelievably, worse at set pieces than us) then God knows what'll happen. Oh wait - loot at the MK Dons game :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:!!!! Coleman - please tell us what is going on!!!!! Sean Whalley is without a doubt the worst winger I have ever seen. To take off our only good winger to bring on this numpty was beyond stupidity. To persist with John 'scared of a football' Miles, was also beyond stupidity. To play Robbie 'forgotten how to defend completely' Williams, was also beyond stupidity. To play Graham 'uh? what? a winger? where?' Branch, was also beyond stupidity. To put up with and condone Leam Richardson, Mark Roberts, Ian Craney and Sean Whalley crowding the ref constantly, is not just stupid, but a disgrace to see. All this must get sorted before we even start to think our problems are sorted. We got lucky with a crap ref and crap opponents today - that won't happen often. |
Re: vs Chesterfield
He didnt play Williams again did he :mad:???????? WTF coley!!!
