Just got back from the match. Have to agree with what a few others have already posted and say that our first half display was poor. I can only assume that Coley's half time team talk was littered with colourful language to administer the kick up the backside that they all deserved.

Second half I think we may just have witnessed the first signs of the current situation easing slightly. Admittedly Chesterfield seemed to lose their way a little in the second half. There's still numerous bones of contention that give cause for concern.Personally speaking it's time Branch was put out to grass. Second home game running he's directed abuse towards his team mates to detract the attention from his own inadequacies. As others have said, I can't see why Miles was given a starting berth today as he's yet to do anything in a Stanley shirt that justifies his signing. As for Williams,he didn't have that bad a game today but that doesn't hide the fact that he's made countless mistakes this season that have cost us goals and points.

The biggest plus to come out of todays game (the 3 points aside) has to be the fact that there was a bit more fight and determination in the second half and this paid dividends. IF we can continue to show the attitude on display in the 2nd half today we should achieve safety comfortably and hopefully get a few more people down to the F.E.S.

Here's hoping !!

Chesterfield fan appreciated Stanley's performance, even if some of you ******* didn't:-

"Think you have to give credit to Accrington they showed passion and a work rate I have rarely seen and fully deserved the win."

I think they must have been watching a different game. Nobody in their right mind could honestly say that. I'm glad we won, but it was a long way from a team performance.

Just got back, after stopping off at various places along the way from the Crown to the Dog & Partridge, Heaton Mersey (via a meal in Chinatown with Mrs H). Yes, we did pick it up in the second half, although we still have serious problems in the team (Branch? Are you joking??). As someone has said, though, the Clayton End practically "sucked the second goal in". The atmosphere on there was absolutely electric. The Spiretes were totally outsung and the chaps (including those of us who don't sing much) got behind the team as one. I don't know what the rest of the season holds. but this afternoon (or at least the latter part of it) was magic!! :not_ripe::Banane25::Banane47:

everyones entitled to their opinion, but the fact is- they won, beat a side with a good away record. and whilst people are entitled to slag, it dont encourage people who go occasionally, when circs permit,to return i think.

Branch was not at all happy with some more than fair criticism from a gentleman to my right, telling him, in that endearing way that scousers have, to "shurrup". If only he had put as much effort into picking up their No. 7 prior to the soft goal.

Branch had quite a go at Bavs for putting him under a bit of pressure,
an experienced professional sharing his experience with a team mate?

However, to show goodwill, at this time of year, I'm modifying my signature accordingly. :)

Can't add much to what folk have already said about yesterday, yes the three points are most welcome & it was good to get worked up about a game again, I'd almost forgotten what it felt like but one of the highlights for me was Procky's reaction towards the dugout after he scored the penalty :)

Just got to say how fantastic the clayton end was today, after their goalies little to do with Jay the tempo really rose, fantastic tactic to move down the terrace and give him some verbals right in the earhole it seemed to un-nerve their defence no end 12/10 to the clayton end.
