Stanely badges

can anybody help me with regards to possibly dating these badges? I'd like to create an online library eventually on the OSC site that will contain images of as many badges as we lay our hands on (temp or otherwise).

I think the On Stanley On one is probably a re-issue but would you know the approx year the orignal was out?

Also, if you have any badges you'd like to be part of the Exhibition then please let me know. I am in contact with a collector at the moment but he seems unwilling to make me a brew while I look at them!!!

thanks to Kipax for taking the pictures so clearly cos you'd not be able to see 'em properly otherwise!

You cheeky sod I've had a lot on this week so I can go tomorrow night, it's not easy finding time to do your own stuff when there's three sprogs and Mrs B wanting jobs doing.

I haven't got badge one is it open to offers or can we make a deal?

Re: Stanely badges

Badge two was made a few years ago they are very common, I couldn't believe one went on ebay the other day for £12, there are a few variations of it, white instead of red etc. but to me it's just an old Man Utd badge thats been slightly changed.

Re: Stanely badges

Badge three could be old or it could be a repo, I have two different ones, one has a gold back the other silver.

can't offer badge 1 as it was an 'inheritance'!!!!

badge 2 there are apparently two variations of, Kipax has a collection of pics on his site and he says the two are different but they look the same to me! I was also amazed at the price on ebay as I considered getting it to have a spare for some reason.

I wasn't aware of any differences on badge 3 but I think mine is the gold backed one

nah, I wasn't being sarky about the brew thing as I realise we all have time restrictions but whenever you have a spare half hour or summat then I'll nip round.

Just found another one. I think this is a late eighties Supporters Club one but I could be wrong. Its a big 38mm one instead of the usual 25mm

Of course you can I won't tell anyone.:)

We really need to see that guy who wanted to buy those OSC badges, he has a real collection, he bought Kipaxs when he sold his to fund a new camera, I was not happy. Doug also has a collection but I'm not sure how many. BTW my 66 are all different and all Stanley.

I used to see him every day until his kid moved up a school, he's in the OSC lives near the hospital.

******, I feel like the poor relation, I’ve got about 25 badges, all Stanley and I open to acquiring more if anyone as swops (Jesus, That’s a word I haven’t used in donkeys years) or wants to sell at a reasonable price.

Rob, I’ve still got the little 50s/60s Stanley footballer on its original card which I offered to the OSC as a freebie for the exhibition. Let me know when you want it and I’ll bring it over, in fact pm me a drop address and I’ll get it over next week. I’ve also the got the England XI signed programme as well that I promised. Sorry, I drunk the Gin but will supply another on request.
