He did not have a particularly good game on Saturday, but I have not seen him often enough to form an opinion

Re: mannix

I actually thought he played well on saturday, fair enough a couple of mistakes but his touch was class and made some very intelligent passes.

Re: mannix

people must see that he has improved the team no end.
Mannix is holding in midfield and stopping teams running at us.
trust me he will play at a much higher level!!

Totally agree. I think I gave Branchy about 8 games to show something. ;)

Have a feeling that central midfield would be better if it was Mannix or Craney, plus Proccy or Jay, but let's see.

He has got class as you can see when he plays but hopefully he will start sticking some in the net, he does have the ability to. I think as soon as he gets a goal i think he will play much much better!

Re: mannix

In a division where keeping hold of the ball is looked upon as a crime the lad sticks out like a sore thumb.
Already you can see the other players look up to him............

But he is a holding midfielder, sure a goal or two wouldn't go a miss, but he is more of a supplier than receiver.

Yeah I agree.

I think Mannix has been a very good signing. Some of his control and passing skills are reminiscent of Marshy in the Unibond days and definitely shows off his pedigree. However, he had a stinker against Hereford. I think he will know that.

Re: mannix

Don't think he's shown his full potential yet (as he's certainly not played as well as he did in the match at Cleethorpes last season), but I reckon he will turn out to be a vital member of our squad in the fullness of time.

Re: mannix

I'm sorry that I have to be the dissenting voice on here, but for me he contributes very little. Granted, he plays a holding midfield role, but what's the point when he constantly gives the ball away anyway? Anyone can do that. I was never a great fan of Marsh, either, so obviously I know nowt.:D

dont think hes up to it myself . always off the pace and passing is poor

Re: mannix

I too thought he had a nightmare against Hereford. When I questioned the MOM award to the people who awarded it him, it explained a lot. I only saw what he was doing from the Clayton End, the MOM awarders were watching from the main stand/clubhouse. They saw a different Mannix to what I did, one who on more than several occasions, stopped a very good Hereford side playing through us and thats why he got MOM. Asset to the team.... :mosher:
