This season there was around 400 sold.... we aim to excel that amount by a good few hundred :) If im being honest aswell i dont know how many we had sold by this time last year, but if you look at it in the sense that we already have 315 now and the early bird offer isnt up. Theres only 85 more to go before we exceed the 400 mark.
Fingers crossed guys that all the Google Page Ranking work im arranging will pay off...

Thing is, though, we'll have to sell a lot more than the 400, to even make the same amount of revenue from them as last year. I know I keep banging on about it, but I really think the discount offer deadline date should be pushed back, even to the end of the season, to capitalise on the new mood of optimism. Also, think we should be looking beyond the boundaries of Accrington to sign up potential season ticket holders! :)

In response to Wynonie, with regards to extending the date for the early bird offer i have put that too my managers today and we are going to discuss it in a meeting on thursday. But i agree that "high margin, low profit" is the best way to go about it. And right now i think it will be extended like it was last year. I also agree that we need more than 400 ST holders, we are hoping to get a lot more than the 400 mark anyways. Quote me if im wrong but was there any sort of Google Page Ranking events last year to promote the ST?

hope accy extend the deadline to get in as many as poss to boost gates. I live in Manchester (used to live near accy) and my 2 lads are just getting into football, so for me it's great value with the under 12's scheme. What I will do is make sure we spend money in the ground on refresments & the shop. It only takes me 35 mins to get to the ground with the M60 etc and I am always trying to get others to come to matches. I have a mate originally from accy who travels from Liverpool to games- so anyone around accy who may be a floating fan should come along or even try and come up with £140- you only need to get to half the matches to make it pay.

this made sound a bit obvious, but as we are at home on Saturday which is deadline day for the Season Tickets and there is potentially 400-500 walk ons there in the flesh...

maybe a final concerted push on flyers around the gates where people are paying to come in would pay divedends, If advertised prior to the game?:)

And we are handing out player of the year voting slips before the match on saturday so an extra flier at the same time wouldn't do any harm.. don't forget you offered to help us with that too Toni,:D so grab some early bird leaflets, hopefully with the news of an extension and they can be handed out together along with the "fans memories" CD

Good idea Pendle Red :) For me, it would be free/reduced entry against The Imps for anybody who "Signs up on the day" Just another incentive, yes I know that 315 have already signed up - me being one of them - and did not get free/reduced entry  But it would not bother me if the club did that and signed up 200 more, lost revenue maybe but lets face it as so many have pointed out, at £140.00 we must be looking at 1000ish to break even and realistically 1500+ for it to be deemed a real success :) Just my thoughts....

Harwood Red.... I will be there to help you :) , I will also get some of the forms photocopied so they can be handed out at the same time. If is does get entended (i have no doubt it wont) i will get posters up round the ground for people to see as they walk in and also as they walk around... Maybe the flyers i am going to get done could be handed too them by the turnstile staff so then we know that every person has received one? Would that be too much to ask??

Re: Season tickets 09/10

think you would have to ask the turnstile staff that question

But if all else fails we can do it, and I rarely miss anyone :D

thats summat, think it would have been more productive to extend the price as well. think the P.R. this time has contributed to the extra 100 so far, well done those who worked at it.

Re: Season tickets 09/10

its only the voucher offer though isn't it? the price for the season ticket HAS gone up but you will still get the vouchers.

rightly so as well if you ask me, if you dont get in in time then tough! Marketing was a lot better this time so well done to all concerned - including the OSC. But as a note for next time, it has to be done as early as possible in as many places as possible. So next year we need to do the same again but bigger! First weekend we hit every supermarket in the borough with an OSC volunteer, AN Other volunteer and a club representative at every possible venue - it can do no harm. Altogether though I am impressed for the first time that the club has seen that it needs to be proactive with these kind of things and has done something about it. Round of applause to the top table please.

Re: Season tickets 09/10

I sincerely hope that the club have made the right decision by choosing not to extend the offer. Because, if we don't sell many more than 500, then the whole thing has been a flop. My maths aren't too good, but I seem to recall someone saying on here that we would need to sell 700 even to match last year's income. Personally, I can't see us selling another 200, now the prices have gone up, vouchers or no vouchers. Really, hope I'm wrong, though...

Re: Season tickets 09/10

I think a further week's extension (with a definate date of easter monday as last chance) on the price could've seen a rush with an extention on the vouchers only till end of season
