Re: Monday 10pm
The whole thing smacks of arrogance... Its our club cause we own it. Anyone else wanna know what is going on then get your chaque book out.
Well, D'On/Mr Whalley, the Cardboard/Paint shop mafiosi. Stanley is owned by the fans, not an individual & if we ride out this week, then you will see fan power in action! |

Re: Monday 10pm
katie, i can confirm that £206,000 has been sent to the taxman and has been received. I dont think any other money has been sent, so it cant have been received.
I dont know the detailed rules about how PFA money is to be used. I would guess (and it is an educated guess, but not fact) that it is quite restricted. The PFA will deal with the club, and I assume oneil knows the real score on that question. Its a question I would love to know the answer to as well. we are down to the wire here. I am going to log off now. if anything happens a bit later on, i will come back on. i promise you i will try to keep as close a dialogue with you all as is possible. |
Re: Monday 10pm
Thanks ilyas your help is much appreciated hope a response is achieved tommoz.

Re: Monday 10pm
oh yes, i forgot to say to stanley mad. I do not believe that oneil made any promises or commitments to return peter marsden's calls. Peter is very very worried, more so in fact than at any time in the past. He will keep trying oneil for a while yet, but i have to assume that we will not get any feedback tonight.
I wish i could say something to provide comfort to you all. But i dont know what to say right now. night night, Ilyas |
Re: Monday 10pm

To be met by, what seems to me ( and in my humble opinion ) Contemptuos silence,on the part of O'Neil and others within the present make-up of the club's present board, only serves to vindicate all the opinions levelled against them by others on this forum.... Just less than 36 hours now to meet the FINAL DEADLINE.....NO MORE REPRIEVES from the high court. The words spoken by the judge presiding last Wednesday said it all...LAST CHANCE..FINAL... To the Mr O'Neil and present board / and any other party involved in all this (Mr Khan and Mr Marsden excluded) I only have one thing to say.... If you, the present Chairman and board and all others involved behind the scenes, who may at this time seem invisible or anonymous,... allow this club to fold, then your actions/inactions throughout this whole sorry shambles will probably catch you all up...By NO means do I personally mean that as some sort of vague or veiled threat, NO. By the last paragraph, I mean that, should the worst come to the worst, should the club be wound up on Wednesday morning, I would assume that once the official receiver is called in to preside over the winding up of this club, he/she will probably uncover whatever skeletons linger inside the closet, and then matters will be in the hands of officials who will leave no stone un-turned. Your actions / inactions, be they present chairman, board member or whoever else involved in this sorry fiasco, will probably come back to haunt you all with a vengeance. To quote Mr O'Neil...." leave the sleepless nights to me !!!" With all that in mind, will O'Neil et al involved behind the scenes,(other than Messrs Khan and Marsden, although they too are probably losing sleep along with all genuine fans of this club) sleep any easier tonight or tomorrow???? |
Re: Monday 10pm
What appears to be happening here, is similar to what's happened in the past. Study the history of Exeter City.
Two would-be buyers of ECFC came in to buy the club from its aging owner chairman. He agreed to sell. The two then brought in a celebrity backer, Uri Geller. It then turned out that that the two who were going to buy the club had insufficient money, the Geller walked out and the two were charged and later convicted of fraudulent trading. The supporters trust was then given the shareholding by the owner, whose shareholding was either totally or largely intact. This happened at the cusp of points deductions for going into a CVA. The supporters trust successfully fought against the points deduction but the club, already relegated to the Conference, still spent several years there. Read the history recent of Exeter City if you want advice. Contact Supporters' Direct, get yourselves properly organised if you still want a football club to support. Why do I know about this? I was the journalist who investigated the goings-on at Exeter City during the club's darkest days and exposed the lies and deceit there. I was the journalist who recieved abusive calls from Uri Geller during my Sunday lunch with friends in Cornwall. I was the journalist who went into my editor's office with evidence of fraud and told him that if he was prepared to publish it, I wouldn't go straight to the police with it. I'm no hero. I'm not an Exeter supporter. I was born at Accrington Hospital, my grandparents lived in Canal Street and Sparth Road, Clayton-le-Moors, and I started out in Woodside Road, Huncoat, and went to the local primary school. But, I do have a sense of what's right and wrong. And I do feel there's a lot wrong in Accrington. If I can possibly do anything to save the club, I will. |
