Monday 10pm
I am afraid no update from me as of right now. The club has gone silent. Rob Heys remains accessible, but he has no decision making authority, this is now in the hands of oneil.
I am a hopeful individual, and will be up for a while in the hope that oneil will send some sort of message regarding the next step. at the very minimum, if he has no answers then at least say so since i do not think that HMRC will give us any more chances. Peter Marsden was in contact with Oneil until about 2 hours ago, and since then its complete silence. the only other piece of hard news that has come my way is that Eric Whalley is still the authorised signatory as far as cheques are concerned. So after all this time of oneil being "chairman", and "owner", it turns out he has no authority with the bank. I suppose these revelations should not be a shock to me, but I do wonder, at this late hour, what on earth has been going on. As always, i promise to come back if anything of substance occurs. Lets all try to stick to the public pages of accy web where possible. I dont mind private messages where you might be concerned about security, but right now i think we are all served best by the most transparency possible. Lets "walk the walk" as well as talk it. This club belongs to us all. This club is important to us all. And ultimately, this club must survive us all. Ilyas (10.10pm monday) |

Time to start praying ?

Re: Monday 10pm
Thankyou for the update
if EW is still the owner does this mean you are able to open talks with him at all |
Re: Monday 10pm
Thank u so much for trying and to u the most must find this utterly hard and heart breaking. Least u and us can say we tried and wanted to try, seems the head or heads of asfc just dont want to least meet half way or even quarter way. That itself is the hardest thing to bear.

Re: Monday 10pm
good question Cashman. I have seen that all immediate actions have been authorised by the board, and since June, as far as i can see, all decisions have been made by oneil. It was also oneil who came to see me way back in April when he asked me not to compete with him to buy eric's shares, but to let him buy the shares, and for me to support him.
I guess we could speculate about whether oneil is independent or not (and i had to laugh at Willie's post just now), but I think I would be even madder than I am now if I let myself chase each conspiracy theory. I therefore want to stick to facts, and act on confirmations, not theories. At this point, Oneil is chairman of the board, and the club is run by its directors. I need to know exactly what plans (if any) the club has put in place to meet the inevitable shortfall that we are now facing of £102,000. Peter Marsden has been chatting with Oneil, who then has gone AWOL. I had assumed we woudl have at least some sort of landing today, and I remain full of hope that oneil is just having a late dinner and will get back to Peter soon enough. More than that i dont know. But I am very very worried. |
