Sorry if I put it across wrongly!! :o But, sorry I cannot answer that question, but I am sure that it will be clarified soon! :) :)

Don't matter if it's an extra 100k or 200k the outcome is still the same :p

Re: Today's meeting of Shareholders

if an additional 200k is being issued then the original 100k becomes only as third of the total percentage. ie the current 51% shareholder would only be worth 17%.

The original idea touted by ASSF was that no one shareholder should hold more than 20-25% in order to do away with any potential 'dictatorships'.

So if The Don wants to be worth the same as any 'new' large shareholder he will have to put more money in and buy another 3% (based on 20% max) or £6000.

It is a good move, but personally I would have like to have seen it be a lot more money. It's only a nominal amount and it is up to an individual whether they think it is worthwhile or not so it wouldn't matter if it was 200k or 200m. I'd like to have seen £1m worth become available. It is something you could add to every time you have a spare hundred quid or so and it wouldn't matter if the issue was not fully subscribed first time out. With only 200k available I can see it selling out reasonably quickly and then we would be back to where we are now albeit with some extra debt paid off.

I would hope that once the deal is agreed and rolled out that there is enough time allowed before subscription so that people can save up a bit, and allow many more of the fans to get involved.

It was also muted by somebody, cannot remember who, that the board/club, will get the list of shareholders up to date, so that in future, all shareholders can be contacted regularly, plus also kept up to date with events!!! :) :)

I also seem to recall that the board stated that there will be a full blown meeting, sometime towards the end of March.

I just wonder if its because Ilyas will get a larger stake in the club for his donations (which seems fair enough to me) i.e. he will buy shares when he helps the club out rather than a loan or donation.

It was my understanding that Ilyas did not have any stake in the club??? :)

Ilyas no longer has any shares in ASFC, He donated them to the fans via ASSF a couple of months ago now...............its on here somewhere! Both Ilyas and Peter (Marsden) stated that the monies they had put in re HMRC were NOT loans and they did not invisage ever seeing that money back......a gift in other words. Again this is only my understanding of it, and I stand to be corrected if wrong. If you have any worries/questions I'm sure that if you pm Ilyas he will explain in much better detail than I :)

Don't have any worries and I see it as commone sense and for the benefit of the club to be honest.

Dont panic too much :) the meetinfg was called at very short notice and was an informal get together of shareholders, as far as I am aware it was an invitation from our new Chairman to sit down and disscuss recent goings on at the club and no fprmal invtes to attend were sent out, it was all done via accyweb. However, that said, you can rest assured that a FULL shareholders meeting will be forthcoming around the end of March this year after the accounts have been done/sent off. This was said by both Ilyas and Rob on Saturday...............so it WILL happen!!

Hope this helps a little Fourth Official ?
