Doug, PLEASE dont take this the wrong way, however you have not been able to be here and witness first hand what we have had to put up with week in week out from both O'Neil and Whalley.........I only wish you could have been as I truly believe that if you had you too would feel as the majority of fans do.

Between them, O'Neil and Whalley have conspired to decieve (sp) both the fans and general population of Accrington, local businesses will NOT come on board whilst Whalley hangs around (fact), O'Neil wouldnt know the truth if it slapped Him in the face!!!

Whilst those two are still here, then the club WILL continue to deteriorate.........sorry mate but you are wrong on this occasion :)

Doug I thought you of all people would have realised by now we have had more drama at the Club than a stage production at the local theatre.

There are good things going on we know that and are fully behind that in every sense of the word but how long before the next crisis or we lose these good people because of the pressure or non payment of their wages?

People have had long enough to sort out their wrangles and whatever else is going on behind the scenes but we still appear to be no nearer a compromise or a workable solution that can take this Club kicking & Screaming into a genuine new dawn.

I love this Club and it has torn me apart at times over the last eighteen months as it has with most fans and people connected the Club, you get to the point where you can chuck the towel in and say no more and walk away, you can watch from the stands powerless to do anything as we have or you can decide to fight for a better future for everyone least of all ASFC.

I know which side of the fence I am on

Pete, out of the people I know at the Crown Ground you are one of those I know best and I certainly don't take anything said the wrong way. It's an opinion like everyone else's.

You are correct in that I'm not there and don't se the things that others do, I go completely off what is said on here, the ultras forum and the fishy site along with what's in the press. Today I read that John Coleman is happy and he related how all at the club had played their part in our teams success.

If it's good enough for him, I'm ecstatic; because if he was unhappy we would have something to worry about. John Coleman is backing Accrington Stanley, like it or not, who's owns or runs the club won't matter in the short to mid term until the legal differences are sorted.

Its twelve months on and there's no change at the top and people aren't looking in the direction of what's coming our way.

People of Lancashire through no fault of their own are going to face some of the most austere cuts in decades; people will loose their jobs, their benefits and in extreme cases their homes. Money will be short and business will be very carful where they put their money. But it's the nature of business to continue to advertise even in the most severe financial climates; gifted, bright and intelligent people even prosper in these conditions; but who suffers other than the workers? I'd say small business with a bob to spend, but can't quite meet the needs of big premiership or championship teams (don't worry Dave, its only a matter of time and you'll be playing us).

Can or will people invest in a high value ticket to see Blackburn get their arses kicked (again) or Burnley take another fall....(only the brave, daft, well to do and the die hard's) many football fans with a dwindling pound in their pocket will still want their blood rush and Accrington Stanley can provide.

It's the same argument for commercial concerns; they want, if not need to get their message out to those who need services, goods, food, where better that a deal with an up and coming club. There's value to be had at Accrington Stanley, there's seats to fill and quality to watch and we all should be working to get it, including Ilyas, David O'Neil, Eric Whalley and us the supporters.

Infighting, public displays of doubt and derision will only work against us; that's all I'm trying to get across; people may not trust David O'Neil or like Eric Whalley, some will have doubts about Ilyas Khan but each of us has a duty to ensure what we can't change doesn't hurt us and what we can change works for us. I'm sure the day will come when we can all breath easy, but until then we have to get on with it and build up public opinion in our favour and if that means working with the clubs current management so be it.

I do understand; and many of those feelings we share. If Ilyas can't shift them, will we? All I want to do is look at what we can do today, without having to worry about tomorrow turning back the clock twelve months.

In some ways Doug you are right with your last post in others you are severley misguided.

Your last paragraph for example please re-read it

It's full of contradictions any Company small or large but one that is held up as a Football Club and one that aspires to be a pivitol "Community One" to survive if nothing else in Stanley's case has to reach out from the Top and have a cascade effect that feeds down and inspires people within the Club and then have the ripple effect that then feeds out to fans and in turn the community.

Inspiration costs little or nothing, motivation costs little or nothing, communication costs little or nothing

Tick them three boxes and you are half way there but it has to start at the Top

Switching football clubs isn't like deciding wether to shop at Asda or Tesco :D

As for high value tickets at Blackburn I'm pretty sure you can get a season ticket there cheaper than Stanley. Thats what Sky subsidies do for you.

Yes a few people will switch but they aren't going to leave in big numbers. Just because Stanley had the fairy story of resurrecting and getting back in to the league don't think the endearment of other clubs fans has lasted since the debacle of the SOS appeal and subsequent stories eminating from the club. Many non-Stanley fans have turned and see it as a subject of mirth when yet another story of 'amateur' mis-management hits the newsfeeds.

Doug there is nothing that gives me a bigger "feelgood factor" than posting or telling people how good the team is playing on the pitch or the latest innovation to increase Supporter Numbers.

But it is a two way street interaction benefits everyone deafning silence from people helps nobody and adds to the growing unease, tension & frustration.

It felt good at work this week when everyone came up to me and asked if I witnessed that marvelous result at weekend (of which I did). Lets hope we can progress to League One.

Please face facts while EW and O'Neill remain; the club will be held back.

Please undersand this and ask some questions about EW and O'neill, you are coming across as very much one sided aka in the pocket of the scum that nearly killed the club.

O'neill is 100% anti football, please never forget it.
His only concern is himself.
