we've heard it all before. It's a bit like players saying they want a move then sign a new contract the day after. Football if full of bull ;)

I don't know in this case Dave £120 million is a lot of pennies, just remember how much trouble Stanley had in finding £360,000 then multiply it by 360:eek:

Just imagine how many businesses they closed down or ripped off on the back of that debt :mad:

That's the same with any business that goes to the wall, but if they had kept afloat the creditor may have had a chance of getting something back

Maybe so but how many businesses are allowed to rack up obscene debts like football clubs are. Football needs to be given back to what made it our national sport, the fans. Sadly the money men involved won't miss the club like the fans will :mad:

Totally agree Dave but no club will refuse outward investment to try and give them that edge, look where Stanley would have been without Ilyas

In one sentance Dave you have summed up perfectly what is wrong with our "National Game"

There is a growing swell from fans of even the so called bigger clubs that may change things how much who knows?

Liverpool have been put through the mill, the judderings are happening at United not many Clubs will be imune or remain imune to it, the Premiership & FL to a degree need to take note or it will self implode at different levels.

Of course it's not the only Portsmouth story today;

Quote:

Portsmouth defender Herman Hreidarsson has signed a new short-term contract that will keep him at Fratton Park until the end of the season.
The Iceland international, 36, has spent the past seven months recovering from an Achilles injury.
He said: "I am delighted to have signed again for such a great club where I have had a fantastic time."
Hreidarsson was part of the Pompey team that BOUGHT the FA Cup against Cardiff City at Wembley in 2008.
Do you reckon he's getting paid minimum wage ? Don't think so :mad:

Whatever the misdeeds of those who have run the club, it's always the fans who suffer in the end. I'm sure no true football fan could ever wish the demise of another club.
