Re: Brace yourselves in again please ....

The clowns in charge of "Our club" are just that - I do not put RH in that bracket!! - They have little/no idea how to run this business!! We lose sponsorships, but they cannot find more, we over spend on players budget, then they take on more, we owe money left, right and centre, so we take on more staff!!!

It all beggers belief, but it is true

The MAJOR shareholder, must go now, to give us any chance of turning this thing around (I use the word MAJOR, as that is what he is, NOT THE MAJORITY!!!! @ Best 43%) He should have stood by his word and gone when we reached the FL, then he would still now be the hero we all belived he was.....

Cannot think of much more to say, but I am sure thaat Macca, Loweiy or Timmins will fill in more.

As a group of FANs, we must fight this, but protest marches, or staying away, is not the way.

I heard it before it was cut; can’t understand why you had to remove it, if Peter knew you were recording at the time and was happy for it to be shared.
Regardless; thanks for the effort Pete it is much appreciated. Let’s hope that there’s a way out.

I made the mistake of not clarifying with Peter how he wanted the information shared, I therefore publicly apologise for any embarassment caused by my actions, I should have known better.

Sorry cock; nevertheless an innocent mistake by a decent bloke, I’m sure everyone will feel the same way Pete.

Is anyone really surprised by this? It's always been a question of WHEN rather than IF it all goes tits up again.

The mismanagement of the situation has been evident for years and I really hope it's all brought to a head now and then we can have a fresh start, whatever format that might be.

I'd really like the club to have a proper go at boosting crowds and interest, just to see if it can make a go of things at a decent level. Otherwise, drop back down to whatever level it can sustain and let's have a club that we can be truly proud of once again!

Re: Brace yourselves in again please ....

Being a 'technophobe' I was not aware that discussions were being recorded. The reason for the meeting was to lay out clearly the difficulties being met at the club and to avoid a repetition of the unexpected financial bombshell of two years ago. The meeting was also to garner support from fans to help the club through a difficult period and there was a number of
constructive ideas put forward.

I fully accept that ukcowboy acted in good faith.

Re: Brace yourselves in again please ....

I don't believe the fact that the club is again skating on the thin financial ice can come as a surprise to many. But it is reassuring that some are thinking about things before the situation becomes irretrievable; so good luck to Mr Shaw and others.
All I hope is that securing the long term future of Stanley, preferably in the Football League, is put before personal pride and position, and that everyone finally recognises that the club cannot travel further down the Whalley road, if it is to survive.
