Sean was by far motm today, he had Wigan in his pocket - we should play him up front more often:)

Behave now AccyMad, you are showing your bias... ;)

Agree Sean was Man of the Match, but not by far... Toby ran him close :)

Good team performance, which is what the Good Doctor ordered....

:) :) :)

Looking for a similar performance - and result - from Sean this weekend :)

Not sure if he will be wearing the armband, but either way looking for him to have an influence on the result :)

Looking to the future 3 Stanley stalwarts are nearing the twilight of their careers McConville 32, the brilliant Hughes 34, Conneelly our skipper 32 all 3 have been brilliant at times for Stanley backbone of several teams, but all will be a year older and Coley will be looking beyond them natural it comes to all players, the key question is for the management is how longer they will be first choice selection,s and in Sean,s case is he worth another deal big decisions in the progress of the club.

C’mon, guys, how many on here wouldn’t want to be 32 again? These guys are mere whipper-snappers!
But this season the injury crisis appears to have required many to play on when they should have been able to take a short rest.

You are right Cashy, the injury towards the end of the season was the start to me :(

Took an age to get back, all the Covid stuff, then the nonsense red card, plus the stupid/silly ban, all in all, he has not had enough of a run........

Add to that, the words of our friend Yonmon and we are about there...

Regardless STILL:-
  • Scored our first(and second)ever League 1 goal,
  • Played the most League games,
  • Only ever Captain to lose 7-0 :D

All together now......"Sean McConville, Seany Sean McConville..."

:) :) :)
