Re: Tom Bender

If that is true then we may as well restart at Stanley 1 Tranmere 2 , no different.

Any info about when it will be played?

Re: Tom Bender

Years ago, we had a Sunday League match which was cancelled just after Half Time, due to a broken leg, and the ambulance taking ages. We were 1-0 down at the time and, as manager, I offered to give them a goal in the rematch. The ref said he couldn't start it 1-0, but we could stand aside and allow them to walk the ball into the net from kick off. The opposing manager put the suggestion to his players who, although flattered with our offer, declined.

The league were overjoyed with the sportsmanship shown by both teams. The community of Football is the winner sometimes...

Reassuring to hear that the club dealt with the situation well.

Thought it was about time to move on from Jimmy, as much as I loved him as a player.
