Morecambe players were laughing that they had conned the ref.

Re: Morecambe Thread

Utterly ridiculous decision, Health N Safety gone mad, Teams in the past played on utter quagmires once started,No doubt in my mind Morecambe stage managed this, being down to 10 men,:mad:

Re: Morecambe Thread

Absolute joke of a decision - the pitch was no worse than it was at the start of the game!

Spot on assessment Cashman.;)

PATHETIC AND DIABOLICAL DECISION IN MY HONEST OPINION!:eek::mad:

The pitch was standing up to the rain very well.
THE BALL ONLY STUCK ONCE RIGHT OVER BY THE MAIN STAND VIRTUALLY ON THE TOUCH LINE!

Ellison was badgering the ref as soon as they came out for the second half!:dummy2:
The players on both sides were playing sensibly, there had been no mistimed or bad tackles, apart from the sending off, (which was perhaps only worth a booking?)
Most importantly, it virually stopped raining at half time so the pitch was only going to improve thereafter!
THE REF WAS INDEED CONNED, what a Numptie! :dummy2::dummy2::dummy2::dummy2::dummy2::dummy2

Re: Morecambe Thread

The ref was kicking the ball around the pitch just before the second half n was convinced it was playable, yet 13 mins later it was not, Ever been conned or what, Morecambe have done us.

Re: Morecambe Thread

Ellison Sussed out the ball would stick in the area near the main stand, and from the start of the second half was trying to get it in that area.
The first time it stuck he was straight in the refs ear and BINGO game abandoned !!
To be fair not many players complained as most were suffering from the artic conditions

Re: Morecambe Thread

game called off after 55 mins Stanley fans furious at the decision understandably as Morecambe were down to 10 men given Stanley a marked advantage. TBO the touch-line where the lines-man had run up and down was indistinguishable making it impossible for the lines-man to tell if the ball was in or out of play that said how much of the decision to call the game off came from pressure from the Morecambe bench is a matter of speculation but the fact remains that the 11 to 10 men advantage has now been wiped out. The question now is do season ticket holders need their ticket stubs for the replay

Yes is the answer

J.B. seems to have the good sense to see what a farce this was, even though he probably is wise enough not to say too much.

thanks mab!!!! I thought the retentions of ticket-stubs maybe needed for season-ticket-holders but what happens to the pay at turn style fans, do they just have to pay again, that's especially hard on away the fans when you add it to their travel expenses

Re: Morecambe Thread

Just n afterthought, will it be the same Ref fer the replayed game? Personally i thought he was doing ok until Morecambe conned him.
