I agree, it's getting ridiculous and beyond banter. Time to draw a line under the whole affair IMHO.

I agree with the last two posts, in terms of the situation I think it took everyone by surprise in being abandoned so not really much time to put a Plan B into action.

The Club's Supporter Liaison Officer has been kind enough to post on here the situation in terms of admission to the replayed game I do think if the Club put a similar statement on the Club's Website it may help the situation in terms of the questions being asked by the Shrimps Fans.

I wouldn't be making such accusations given the tarnished reputation of your club.

So its getting beyond!!! go suck eggs you two.

Hard to see from that because of the ref's positioning, but the majority posting on Morecambe website seem to agree with the dismissal. One chap says four of them sat opposite all agreed with the straight red.Probobly the only thing the ref got right.

Shrimpster, be careful what you speak of on here. I think if you ask most Stanley fans, none of us would like the depths some of the ex-players have sunk too with the betting scandal etc. But remember this also, firstly, in your signature, you adhere to Accrington Stanley dying twice, well your wrong on that score. Previous incarnations of the club may have died, but the current one born in 1968 has never died. Secondly, although a young club, some 46 years old, we still managed to get into the league before yours and you had been trying how long?

The club may have had its troubles, but we are still here, like it or not. I am not going to comment on the rights ors wrongs of the referees decision, but the gamesmanship by Morecambe's manager and players was disgusting.

My signature says 'Accrington' thus referring to both Accrington FC and Accrington Stanley 1891, I make that two deaths.

Well mate Mr Bentley says in me daily paper this morning "Obviously with 10 men we weren't pushing to stay on" So in other words that translates into by Fair Means or Foul.

Looks like Shrimpster ( Who I think is female by the lack of reasoning apparent in his/her ramblings !) has very little hold on the details outlined in his / her posts and a meagre grasp of the realities involved in Saturdays fracas. So like RR ,I suggest that he/she is best ignored and a return to the more measured opinions which are highlighted in this thread is made forthwith !.

I hasten to add , not wanting to risk offending Accymad or others on the distaff side of our Forum, that my allusion to Shrimpsters weaknesses being possibly due to a belonging to the fair sex, was not a show of
Male Chauvinism on my part but merely one of my general observations !.

Yonmon, I am shocked & stunned by your analysis of whoever 'Shrimpster' is - I wouldn't have thought you would have made such a judgement as to this person's gender, I'm sure you'll agree there has been many a contributor on this forum (male & female) who has had a very apparent lack of reasoning

This thread ought to be closed. There is nothing constructive to add and it has descended into dialogue which belittles the average football fan.

Unfortunately, your backtracking came a little late to stop me blurting a retort to your original post but I do appreciate the amendment :)

I agree, re-visitng my last posts which really were unworthy of me as a totally average football fan and utterly pointless !.
