Cracking day to be a Stanley fan. Giving the league leaders a tonking is an extremely good feeling. The fact that they are managed by an ex Stanley 'team' just puts the icing on the cake. This must surely be James Beattie's most satisfying result. Well done to the players who showed some real desire to win this game. Well done to Moly on what must be his first league hat trick. Always rated the guy and you can tell he just loves playing for us. A mention too for Buxton who made an impressive debut and Deano and Tom at the back who were as impressive as ever. Prat of the day must go to the 'Snake' who showed to all the sporting world what n*bs behave like and whilst I like Roberts as a player , he would gain more respect if he concentated on playing instead of trying to get fellow professionals booked and/or sent off.

That was a Top day everything about is was fully warranted and deserved from the first whistle to the last with every single one of the team giving everything they had.

Credit to JB for changing the starting 11 and subs were spot on that result will give everyone around and connected to the Club a massive shot in the arm.

Superb on the pitch and Clayton End in full voice unison and bliss

Quote of the day; James Beattie;
"They met up with the resilience of my boys!"
Great interview by JB sounding very professional, and I really do believe that he will go far! Sadly this probably means that he won't be at Stanley for much longer!

Says so much about the team spirit in the club at the moment and the way that JB is getting so much more than the best out of the team!
Keep it up JB and the boys!:mosher:

Have said before today,any team in Div2 can beat any team on the day, n from what i have seen this season Stanley are in a very false position, We beat the leaders wi 10 men fer most of the game, Onwards n Upwards is my forecast.:);)

Anyone else played 'The Snake' by Al Wilson tonight with a very self satisfying grin on their face this evening I certainly have.
So proud of our lads today and so proud of JB in showing how managers should behave

ON STANLEY ON

Maybe you've forgotten his fantastic treble against Barnet at home towards the end of last season !!;):rolleyes::D

Just hope Crewe don't see fit to recall him for their relegation struggle !!!:o

Think, and hope, you may be wrong. Remember the first thing JB did differently this year was to offer 2 year contracts to a lot of the squad.
I'm hoping he sees it as a two year project and that next season, for a change, starts with a settled squad.
